sock1

Today was rainy and cool, so I stayed inside and seamed the first of a pair of socks for Mark. The yarn is Artful Yarns' Jazz, in colorway "Charlie". This yarn is soft and comfortable to work with, though the four plies split easily so you have to watch more than normal. This is the third pair of socks I've made, and this one was without a pattern! I just used the knowledge I gained from Broadripple to do the heel, and the yarn reccomendation and cast-on number from Weekend Knitting. I'll pick up the purple tank and ribbed sweater when I finish these... right now I just want to feel that sense of accomplishment, even if it's from making a pair of socks and not a painting.

I'm not sure why the photos are so grey... I'll try and fix it in future posts.
